Participation in evacuation exercises

Planning
Desk contingency planning will be carried out for countries which may be at risk of political unrest, risk of violence, or natural issues such as earthquakes, tsunami or pandemics. Contingency Planning includes:

Desk top analysis of suitable airports and alternative cross-border options where appropriate
Assessment of possible aircraft availability and airport services which would be required such as handling agents, landing aids, customs facilities, possible operational problems with weather variations and opening hours

Potential safe havens
Review by the Air Partner operations team to ensure planning if effective including confirmation of landing and over flight permits timings.
2 way review with client to ensure optimum plan
Annual review of contingency plans

For those locations that are particularly complex or difficult Air Partner may recommend a visit to the relevant countries by a specialist aviation consultant.

Evacuations
In recent years Air Partner has successfully evacuated thousands of people from places such as Iraq, Iran, West Africa, Afghanistan, Indonesia and East Timor, Lebanon and most recently Tunisia, Libya, Egypt and Japan. (12,000 personnel and 300 tonnes of aid over 63 flights in a six week time frame)
