NETHERLANDS EMBASSY SUPPORTS TBILISI'S URBAN DEVELOPMENT

The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands assists urban development and urban planning in Tbilisi: three urban development experts from the Dutch company MOVE Mobility will conduct a Smart Moving Tbilisi Scoping Mission. Move Mobility is specialist in smart urban mobility. The companys objective is to improve the livability and economic vitality of metropoles all over the world. Consequently, MOVE Mobility specialists cooperated with cities on many continents to improve their infrastructural and traffic issues.

The objective of this project is to assist and to advice the City of Tbilisi and urban planners. From 9 till 12 December MOVE Mobility will meet with stakeholders at the municipality, the traffic police, architects, and civil society representatives. The project focusses on the bicycle infrastructure of the capital, public spaces in the city center, and car parking in Tbilisi. A report with recommendations will be shared with all parties involved after the visit. Furthermore, MOVE Mobility also participates in the Green City conference, organized by the City of Tbilisi on Friday 12 December from 09.00 till 16.30 o clock at the Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel.
