The results of the various experiments described in these articles show that the conclusion is justified that there are, indeed, differences in the way sexual stimuli are processed in the brains of individual women. Furthermore, these differences seem to originate from different causes. Whereas in one subgroup, relative insensitivity to sexual stimuli seems congenital, the sexual inhibition in the other subgroup seems to be caused by a combination of brain-related factors and the subjects sexual history.
